At Palermo Bakery, we’re honored to bring our beloved Italian cookies from our kitchen in Norridge, IL to your doorstep. Whether you're ordering by the pound or sending a beautiful cookie tray to someone special, we promise to treat your order with the same care and attention we give our in-store customers.

🛒 Products Eligible for Shipping

We currently ship the following items:

• Italian cookies sold by the pound (available in assorted or individual flavors)
• Pre-packaged cookie trays and gift boxes (perfect for holidays and events)

Please note: Custom orders, perishable pastries, and delicate cakes are not eligible for shipping at this time.

📍 Shipping Locations

We ship to physical addresses in the continental United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories).
We do not ship internationally at this time.

🕒 Order Processing Time

• Orders are processed Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.
• Please allow 2 to 4 business days for your order to be processed and prepared for shipment.
• Orders placed on Friday will be processed the following Monday.

If you need your order shipped on a specific date for an event or holiday, please contact us in advance — we’ll do our best to accommodate!

🚚 Shipping Methods & Estimated Delivery

We offer the following shipping options at checkout:

• Standard Shipping (3–7 business days)
• Expedited Shipping (1–3 business days)
• Overnight Shipping (available by request and subject to availability)

Shipping costs are calculated based on weight, destination, and carrier rates. We use USPS, UPS, and FedEx depending on your location and the contents of your order.

📦 Packaging & Freshness Guarantee

All cookies are baked fresh in-house and carefully packaged for transit:

• Cookies are sealed in food-grade bags or containers
• Trays and boxes are securely wrapped in shrink wrap or cellophane
• Bubble wrap, thermal padding, or insulation may be used for added protection

Our goal is to preserve the quality and freshness of our baked goods during shipping. While we cannot control handling by the carrier, we pack everything with durability and presentation in mind.

🌞 Warm Weather Shipping Policy (May–September)

To protect our products from heat exposure:

• We recommend selecting expedited shipping for addresses in warm-weather states
• Orders containing chocolate-dipped or buttercream-based items may be held for shipment until Monday or Tuesday to avoid weekend delays in carrier facilities

📬 Tracking & Delivery

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information.
Please track your shipment and be available to receive your package promptly, especially in extreme temperatures.

🛑 Incorrect or Undeliverable Addresses

Palermo Bakery is not responsible for delays or losses due to:

• Incorrect shipping addresses entered at checkout
• Failure to retrieve packages upon delivery
• Carrier delays or issues out of our control (e.g., weather, strikes)

Please double-check your address before submitting your order.

❌ Refunds, Replacements & Damages

Due to the perishable nature of our products, all sales are final.
However, we want you to love your Palermo Bakery experience! If your order arrives:

• Incorrect
• Missing items

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Include:

• Your order number
• A clear photo of the damaged or incorrect items
• A brief explanation

If we confirm an error on our part or damage during transit, we’ll offer a replacement or store credit at our discretion.
